OUR HOME
The house has 5 suites with capacity for up to 3 people in each (1 queen bed and 2 single beds in each suite). For the leisure and comfort of our guests, we also offer a swimming pool with waterfall and hydromassage, wet bar, acclimatized gourmet area with 55′ TV, refrigerator, brewer, horizontal freezer, ice machine, wi-fi, cooktop, electric oven and microwaves over. We also provide bed linen, towels, pillows, shampoo and liquid soap, so our guests don’t need to bring anything!

We offer all the necessary equipment for a complete experience, including complete tackle for fish of all sizes such as Rapala GTR 30 or similar and Marine Sport Reel or similar, for small and medium fish

IN RIO ARAGUAIA YOU FIND
The main species of scale fish are Matrinxã, Pirarucu, Piau, Pacu, Tucunaré, Corvina and Dourada.
Regarding the leather fish species, we have the Cachara, Barbado, Jaú, Mandubé, Surubim, Pirarara and, the queen of the river, Piraiba.
Bargada
It is a rare fish and most coveted for its sportiness. Its species is also known as Whip Surubim because it is a shallow water fish, it is very strong and tough. Its maximum size can reach 1.5 meters, its head is large, flattened and can measure a third of the total body.
Piraíba
It is a natural fish from Brazil that can reach 3.6 meters and weigh 200 kg, being considered one of the largest freshwater fish in Brazil, alongside the also famous Pirarucu. This fish is known as the river shark, due to its similar size and body shape.
Pirara
The Pirarara is a leathery fish, with a robust body and can weigh up to 50 kg and reach 1.3 meters. It stands out for its beauty in the combination of strong and well-defined colors, such as red, yellow, orange and brown. This animal has fossil records of more than 9 million years and it is believed that in the past it could have attacked humans.
Pintado
This beautiful medium-sized leather fish, which can reach almost 2 meters in length and weigh up to 80 kilos, is one of the most valued in our rivers, both for its impressive sport fishing and its unmistakable flavor.
Peacock Bass
One of the best known species, the peacock bass is a fish with agile, strong and even aggressive movements. But despite showing this aggressiveness, they are often found in pairs, forming nests to protect their young. They can reach 30 cm or more than 1 m in length, weighing up to 8 kilos.
Dourada
Also known as Apapa or Sardinhão, its predominant color is golden and its back is darker. But it is worth remembering that bream is different from bream, as the latter has scales. An adult fish can reach up to 60 centimeters in length and weigh over 7 kg. This fish is highly appreciated in cooking for its low fat content, easy preparation, few bones and mild flavor.

Founded in 2021 by fishing lovers, Oásis do Araguaia was created to provide to our customers a unique experience in the search for one of the biggest fish in Brazilian rivers, the Paraíba, in addition to smaller species that are equally pleasant to catch.
Our house was built aiming at comfort and practicality for sport fishing and ecotourism practitioners.
